The transition from being a fetus to a newborn is one of the most amazing events in human life but also one that is likely to be most stressful. Majority of newborns undergo this transition with minimal support, about 10 % are likely to need more intensive support to establish spontaneous breathing.  Neonatal resuscitation is a key skill that health care providers at health facilities, where deliveries occur, must have. The neonatal training programme would significantly contribute to reduction of neonatal deaths related to birth asphyxia. At NRSC we are providing training on Newborn resuscitation Programme which includes the initial essential care, Positive Pressure Ventilation, chest compression, Advanced airway and drugs components in the form of skill stations for learning and hands on practice. At the end of training team based simulation scenario conducted in which all learner get a chance to become team leader. This training make health care professionals more competent to deal with the emergencies like birth asphyxia.
