National Reference Simulation Centre (NRSC) organized 6-day Training of Trainers on Simulation Based Education for 35th batch in collaboration with Indian Nursing Council from 14/10/2024- 19/10/2024. The guest and participants were welcomed by Ms. Anu Grover, Director NRSC. Thirty-Five (35) Faculty members from Government and Private Nursing Institutes of Maharashtra, Kerala, Goa, Manipur, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Assam, Haryana & Jharkhand participated in the training.
The 6-days training started with pre-test and included PPT presentations on circle of learning, adult learning techniques, characteristics of the trainer, use of checklist and OSCE, decision making, introduction to simulation and video sessions on grey’s anatomy, assumptions, concept and scope of nursing and video-based simulation. Participants also received hands-on practice on the use of checklists & OSCE, case studies and advocacy inquiry in different groups.
Participants conducted simulation sessions independently under the guidance of NRSC trainers from Day 4 to 6. It was followed by discussion on action planning, post-test and collecting feedback of the training.
The training was concluded with Valedictory session. Feedback was given by the participants followed. Participants highly appreciated the training and were confident to use simulation methodology with the nursing students. Certificates were distributed to the participants by Director, NRSC, Ms. Anu Grover along with the team NRSC.
Looking forward to conducting such more training in near future for the Nursing Faculties.
